This is an unedited transcription from a diary belonging to Edith Keeler. It starts in 1919 as a diary and then jumps to the mid 1970’s where it becomes a memoir.
By her own admission she was not the greatest diarist, hence the 50+ year gap. To be fair there are a few pocket diaries for the intervening years but they are much more a chronicle of the minutae of daily life, shopping etc.
This is by far the most interesting, if nothing else it is a document of social history.
